However, there are arguably better options for card draw in blue, such as Brainstorm or Ponder, which provide immediate card selection without sacrificing resources. While Cephalid Scout can see play in niche builds or casual formats, its effectiveness may be overshadowed by more efficient card draw spells in competitive environments.
