A deck that focuses on a graveyard strategy, such as a control or combo deck, would benefit from using Dark Petition due to its ability to search for a specific card and potentially generate additional mana with spell mastery. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering play, other cards like Demonic Tutor or Diabolic Tutor may be considered better options for tutoring specific cards efficiently. Dark Petition could still see play in certain niche decks that can take advantage of its unique abilities and mana generation.
