Prideful Feastling (2{W/B} for a 2/2 with changeling and lifelink) fits best in tribal or typal synergy decks—especially those that care about specific creature types like Humans, Vampires, Allies, or Slivers—since changeling lets it count as every creature type at once, and its lifelink can support lifegain-matters strategies (such as Orzhov lifegain or Clerics). However, at three mana for a 2/2, it is generally underpowered for competitive formats; more efficient lifelink creatures like Gifted Aetherborn (2/3 deathtouch, lifelink for BB) or Voice of the Blessed in lifegain decks provide stronger stats or scaling, and in tribal decks, more synergistic changelings like Universal Automaton (cheaper) or Mirror Entity (powerful payoff) tend to offer more impact. As a result, Prideful Feastling is mostly suited for casual tribal or budget builds rather than optimized competitive decks, where it is typically outclassed.
