Slimebind can be useful in a control deck that focuses on tempo and disruption, as it can provide a quick answer to a threatening creature by reducing its power. However, there are better options available such as Claustrophobia or Deep Freeze which not only reduce power but also prevent the creature from attacking. Slimebind may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other similar cards.
