However, for a more competitive edge, Alchemist's Refuge is a better option as it allows all spells to be cast with flash, not just creature spells. While Winding Canyons could see niche play in certain decks, it may not be the optimal choice for most competitive strategies.

The ability isn’t limited to creature cards in your hand. If an effect allows you to cast creature cards from some other zone, then Winding Canyons will allow you to do so as though they had flash.
