This card would be beneficial in a deck focused on buffing and supporting allies with Overwhelm, such as a Freljord aggro deck or a deck with a lot of combat tricks. While Icevale Cultist can be powerful in the right deck, there may be better options like Trifarian Gloryseeker or Sejuani for a more consistent and impactful play. However, if the deck is built around maximizing the effect of Overwhelm on equipped allies, Icevale Cultist could definitely see play.
