The Cryoshatter card could be beneficial in a control deck looking to neutralize opposing creatures by weakening them and causing them to be destroyed when tapped or damaged. However, there are potentially better options such as Claustrophobia or Pacifism which provide similar effects without necessitating the destruction condition. Cryoshatter may not see much play due to these alternatives offering more consistent and versatile creature control.
