However, the drawback of having to discard your hand at the end of each turn can be quite significant, potentially limiting the card advantage gained. There are better options available, such as Jace, the Mind Sculptor, which provides card advantage without the downside of discarding your hand. Overall, Grafted Skullcap may not see much play in competitive decks due to its drawback compared to more powerful alternatives.
