Nettling Host fits well in a poison or toxic-themed deck, particularly those that focus on dealing poison counters to opponents, as its Toxic 2 ability can help quickly accumulate poison counters while also enabling its Corrupted ability to conjure Nettlecyst when the opponent has three or more counters. While there are other strong cards in the toxic archetype, such as Blightbelly Rat or Skrelv, Defector Mite, which also provide early-game pressure and synergy, Nettling Host's ability to generate additional value from the graveyard makes it a unique inclusion.
