This card could be beneficial in a burn deck strategy that focuses on inflicting direct damage to the opponent. However, there are more efficient cards like Wave-Motion Cannon or Secret Barrel that can deal more damage consistently. Pestilence may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limitations and better alternatives available.
