A deck centered around graveyard recursion and filling it with creature cards would benefit from using Spider Spawning, as it can generate a significant number of spider tokens. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering play, more efficient options like Lingering Souls or Raise the Alarm may be preferred due to their lower mana cost and immediate impact on the board. Spider Spawning could see play in more casual or thematic decks that focus on creature tokens or graveyard synergies.
