This card, Teachings of the Archaics, would benefit a control or tempo deck that focuses on card advantage and hand disruption. It can help the player refill their hand if they are falling behind in card count. However, there are better cards like Ancestral Recall or Brainstorm that provide more immediate and powerful card advantage. While Teachings of the Archaics could be situationally useful, it may not see widespread play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its higher mana cost and conditional effect.

Although you may want to include Lessons in your sideboard if you’re playing with cards that instruct you to learn, Lesson cards can be included in your main deck like other instant or sorcery cards.
