A red burn deck focused on dealing direct damage to the opponent or their creatures would benefit from using Torch Song, as it provides a repeatable source of damage that scales with the number of verse counters. However, there are better options available in Magic: the Gathering for efficient burn spells, such as Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning, which offer immediate impact without the need for setup. Torch Song may not see much play in competitive decks due to its slower and more conditional nature compared to other burn spells.
