This card could be beneficial in a black aggro deck that focuses on quick creature aggression. The ability to regenerate Grim Roustabout for just {1}{B} can provide resilience against removal spells, and the Unleash ability can help increase its power. However, there may be better options for a similar cost in terms of efficiency and impact, such as Vampire Lacerator or Carnophage, which have more aggressive stats and abilities that can be more impactful in the early game. Grim Roustabout could see play in a budget or casual deck, but in more competitive settings, there are likely better options available.

A creature with unleash can’t block if it has any +1/+1 counter on it, not just one put on it by the unleash ability.

You make the choice to have the creature with unleash enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter or not as it’s entering the battlefield. At that point, it’s too late for a player to respond to the creature spell by trying to counter it, for example.
