This Runic Armasaur card would be beneficial in a control or midrange deck that aims to disrupt opponents' strategies by drawing cards whenever they activate non-mana abilities. While Runic Armasaur is a solid choice for such a strategy, there are potentially better options like Remora or Mystic Remora, which offer more consistent card draw at a lower cost, making them more popular choices in competitive play. Activated abilities contain a colon. They’re generally written “[Cost]: [Effect].” Some keyword abilities are activated abilities and will have colons in their reminder text. An activated mana ability is one that produces mana as it resolves, not one that costs mana to activate.
