A red deck focused on controlling and maximizing the number of Mountains in play would benefit from using Spawn of Thraxes, as it can deal significant damage upon entering the battlefield. However, for a more competitive option, Inferno Titan may be a better choice due to its versatility and ability to deal damage to multiple targets. Spawn of Thraxes could still see play in casual or themed decks that revolve around dragons or Mountain synergy for a fun and flavorful experience.

Count the number of Mountains you control when the last ability resolves to determine how much damage is dealt. This includes any land with the subtype Mountain, not just those named Mountain.
