Stormwhirl would primarily fit in a Lightning-focused deck such as Briar (Elemental Runeblade) or Lightning Lexi, where granting *go again* to a key Lightning attack can help maintain tempo and extend combat chains; however, because it either costs a resource or requires destroying **Lightning Flow** (a setup-dependent aura), it tends to be inefficient and situational. Most competitive Lightning decks already have stronger, more flexible ways to gain go again or push damage, such as **Lightning Surge**, **Ball Lightning**, **Weave Lightning**, or even generic enablers like **Snapdragon Scalers**, which provide more consistent value without sacrificing board state. As a result, Stormwhirl is generally considered a fringe or budget option and does not usually see play in optimized builds, as better tempo-positive and less conditional cards are available.
