Snapcaster-Magier, Kreatur – menschlicher Zauberer, entworfen von Joseph Meehan Erstveröffentlichung in May, 2020 bei der Bearbeitung Magic Online Promos und wurde genau in gedruckt 12 verschiedene Formen. Ein Kontroll- oder Tempodeck würde von der Verwendung von Snapcaster Mage profitieren, da es durch die Wiederverwendung mächtiger Sofort- oder Zaubersprüche aus dem Friedhof einen Mehrwert bietet. Während es andere Karten gibt, die ähnliche Rollen erfüllen können, wie z. B. Torrential Gearhulk oder Jace, Vryns Wunderkind, ist Snapcaster Mage aufgrund seiner Effizienz und Flexibilität ein starker Anwärter für die Aufnahme in Decks, die auf Spontan- und Zaubersprüchen basieren. Es sollte auf jeden Fall in Decks zum Einsatz kommen, die ihre zauberbasierten Strategien maximieren möchten.

To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.

“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”

You may pay any optional additional costs the spell has, such as kicker costs. You must pay any mandatory additional costs the spell has, such as that of Tormenting Voice.
