About Snapcaster Mage

A control or tempo deck would benefit from using Snapcaster Mage due to its versatility in providing additional value by reusing powerful instant or sorcery spells from the graveyard. While there are other cards that can fulfill similar roles, such as Torrential Gearhulk or Jace, Vryn's Prodigy, Snapcaster Mage's efficiency and flexibility make it a strong contender for inclusion in decks that rely on instant and sorcery spells. It should definitely see play in decks looking to maximize their spell-based strategies.

The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.

“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
