While Splinter Soul can be useful in certain situations, there are other cards like Mist's Call that can provide more value by summoning the exact copy of an ally without it being Ephemeral. However, Splinter Soul can still see play in decks looking to create temporary copies of key allies for immediate impact or combo potential.
