About Mob
Mob, Instant, designed by Sidharth Chaturvedi first released in Jun, 2019 in the set Modern Horizons and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card, Mob, would be beneficial in a black-based control deck that focuses on creature removal and generating creature tokens to help convoke it. While Mob offers a versatile removal option, other cards like Murder or Hero's Downfall may be more efficient in terms of mana cost and instant speed. However, Mob could still see play in specific token-focused decks or as a sideboard option against creature-heavy strategies.

If a creature you control has a mana ability with in the cost, activating that ability while casting a spell with convoke will result in the creature being tapped before you pay the spell’s costs. You won’t be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won’t be on the battlefield when you pay the spell’s costs, so you won’t be able to tap it for convoke.
