About Arboretum Elemental
Arboretum Elemental, Creature — elemental, designed by James Paick first released in Oct, 2018 in the set Guilds of Ravnica.
This card would be beneficial in a green-based ramp deck that focuses on generating a large number of creatures to help reduce its high mana cost through convoke. Its hexproof ability makes it a resilient threat on the battlefield, particularly against removal spells. While Arboretum Elemental can be a strong finisher in the late game, there may be better options available such as Carnage Tyrant, which also has hexproof but comes with additional abilities like trample and can't be countered, making it a more impactful choice in most scenarios. Overall, Arboretum Elemental could see play in specific creature-heavy strategies but may not be a top-tier choice compared to other options available.

You won’t be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won’t be on the battlefield when you pay the spell’s costs, so you won’t be able to tap it for convoke.
