Burning Curiosity fits best in aggressive or midrange red decks that value impulsive card advantage—such as Rakdos Sacrifice, Rakdos Aggro, Gruul Aggro, or Aristocrats-style builds—because those decks can turn the optional blight cost into upside by placing a -1/-1 counter on creatures that like dying (e.g., creatures with death triggers, persist/undying synergies, or disposable tokens) while refilling their hand with up to three playable cards; it’s especially appealing in formats where three-mana draw spells need to impact tempo immediately.
