About Fathom Feeder
Fathom Feeder, Creature — eldrazi drone, designed by Clint Cearley first released in Oct, 2015 in the set Battle for Zendikar Promos and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This Fathom Feeder card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on card advantage and disrupting the opponent's strategy. Its abilities provide a way to draw cards and exile cards from the opponent's library, potentially slowing down their game plan. While Fathom Feeder is a solid card for such a strategy, there are other cards like Baleful Strix or Baleful Ammit that offer similar effects with additional benefits, making them potentially better choices depending on the specific deck's needs. Overall, Fathom Feeder could see play in certain control decks looking to grind out advantages over time.
Rules
08/25/15
Cards with devoid use frames that are variations of the transparent frame traditionally used for Eldrazi. The top part of the card features some color over a background based on the texture of the hedrons that once imprisoned the Eldrazi. This coloration is intended to aid deckbuilding and game play.

If a card loses devoid, it will still be colorless. This is because effects that change an object’s color (like the one created by devoid) are considered before the object loses devoid.
08/25/15
If the player has no cards in their library when the ingest ability resolves, nothing happens. That player won’t lose the game (until they have to draw a card from an empty library).

Other cards and abilities can give a card with devoid color. If that happens, it’s just the new color, not that color and colorless.
