About Sunstone
Sunstone, Artifact, designed by Phil Foglio first released in Jun, 1995 in the set Ice Age.
This Sunstone card would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on stalling the game and preventing combat damage. However, there are better cards like Forcefield or Maze of Ith that offer similar effects without the need to sacrifice a land. Sunstone may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its limitations compared to other options available.
