About Swarm Intelligence
Swarm Intelligence, Enchantment, designed by Daniel Ljunggren first released in Jul, 2017 in the set Hour of Devastation Promos and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's a key card in 2 combos.
A deck focused on casting a high number of instant and sorcery spells, such as a control or spell-slinging deck, would greatly benefit from including Swarm Intelligence. While it can be a powerful card in the right deck, there are arguably better options available, such as Thousand-Year Storm, which has a similar effect but can generate even more copies of spells. Whether Swarm Intelligence sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it is included in.
Rules
07/14/17
If the spell has damage divided as it was cast (like Chandra’s Pyrohelix), the division can’t be changed (although the targets receiving that damage still can).
07/14/17
If the spell that’s copied is modal (that is, it says “Choose one —” or the like), the copy will have the same mode. A different mode can’t be chosen.
07/14/17
Swarm Intelligence can copy any instant or sorcery spell, not just one with targets.
07/14/17
The copy is created on the stack, so it’s not “cast.” Abilities that trigger when a player casts a spell (such as Swarm Intelligence’s own ability) won’t trigger.
