About Thought Erasure
Thought Erasure, Sorcery, designed by Anna Steinbauer first released in Oct, 2018 in the set Guilds of Ravnica and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
A control deck would benefit from using Thought Erasure in Magic: the Gathering, as it allows for hand disruption and selection of the opponent's key cards while also providing card selection with Surveil 1. However, a potentially better card for this purpose could be Thoughtseize, as it allows for more immediate and efficient hand disruption at the cost of life. Thought Erasure could still see play in decks looking for a more versatile option that provides card selection along with disruption.
Rules
10/05/18
You perform the actions stated on a card in sequence. For some spells and abilities, you’ll surveil last. For others, you’ll surveil and then perform other actions.
10/05/18
You surveil 1 even if the opponent doesn’t discard a card, perhaps because they had no cards in hand at all.
