About Backlash
Backlash, Instant, designed by Chippy first released in May, 2020 in the set Invasion and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck focused on controlling the board and dealing direct damage to the opponent would benefit from including Backlash in its strategy, especially in a Rakdos (Black-Red) deck. While Backlash can be a situational removal spell, more versatile options like Lightning Bolt or Fatal Push may be better choices for efficient removal. Backlash could see play in specific metagames where tapping an opponent's creature and redirecting its power as damage is a valuable tactic, but it may not be a staple in most competitive decks.
