Master Piandao would benefit a white-based Ally or Equipment deck in Magic: the Gathering, offering card advantage and selection. However, there are more efficient options available, such as Stoneforge Mystic or Bygone Bishop to achieve similar effects more consistently; I would recommend those over Master Piandao for competitive play.
