About Static Prison

Static Prison, Enchantment, designed by Jason A. Engle first released in May, 2024 in the set Modern Horizons 3.

This card could be beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's board state by temporarily removing a key nonland permanent. However, the drawback of having to pay energy counters to keep it on the battlefield might limit its effectiveness in competitive play compared to other similar cards like Detention Sphere, which offers more flexibility and doesn't require additional resources to maintain control over the exiled permanent.
