This card, Cloudthresher, would be beneficial in a green-based midrange or control deck looking to disrupt opponents with flying creatures while also dealing damage to all players. However, in a competitive setting, there are more efficient options available such as Stormbreath Dragon or Hornet Queen which provide better value for their mana cost and impact on the game. Cloudthresher may not see much play in high-level Magic: the Gathering tournaments due to its high mana cost and limited impact compared to other available options.
