Questa carta, Scudo del Guscio, sarebbe vantaggiosa in un mazzo di controllo o tempo in Magic: the Gathering, offrendo un modo economico per proteggere una creatura chiave dagli incantesimi di rimozione o dal danno da combattimento. Anche se potrebbero esserci opzioni migliori come Tuffo in Picchiata o Difesa Fioritura che offrono una protezione simile allo stesso costo, Scudo del Guscio potrebbe comunque essere giocato nei mazzi che cercano modi aggiuntivi per proteggere le proprie creature e mantenere il controllo del campo di gioco.

The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
