Un mazzo che si concentra nel disturbare le dimensioni della mano dell'avversario, come una strategia basata sullo scarto, trarrebbe beneficio dall'utilizzo di The Rack in Magic: the Gathering. Mentre The Rack può essere efficace nel punire gli avversari con dimensioni di mano basse, ci sono opzioni migliori come Shrieking Affliction che infligge danni indipendentemente dalla scelta dell'avversario. Tuttavia, The Rack può comunque essere giocato nei mazzi che cercano di applicare pressione costante e disturbare le risorse dell'avversario.

You choose one opposing player as this card enters the battlefield and it only affects that one player. This choice is not changed even if this card changes controllers. It becomes useless but stays on the battlefield if the chosen player leaves the game.
