Bubble Snare is vooral effectief bij controle- of tempodecks die tot doel hebben de wezens van de tegenstander te ontwrichten terwijl de aanwezigheid op het bord behouden blijft, omdat het een belangrijke dreiging voor meerdere beurten effectief kan immobiliseren als deze wordt geschopt. Decks die gebruik maken van de sterke punten van blauw bij het trekken en manipuleren van kaarten kunnen enorm profiteren van deze betovering, vooral in formaten waarin op wezens gebaseerde strategieën de overhand hebben. Hoewel er alternatieven zijn zoals Frost Titan of Detention Sphere die vergelijkbare besturingseffecten kunnen bieden met extra veelzijdigheid, maken de lage kosten en het kickervermogen van Bubble Snare het een solide keuze in specifieke scenario's. Over het geheel genomen zou het spel in de juiste context moeten worden gezien, vooral in casual of midrange-formaten waar controle over wezens cruciaal is.
