Colossificatie zou het meest geschikt zijn voor een deck dat gericht is op het snel opvoeren van mana en het spelen van dure wezens, zoals een groen stompy-deck of een ramp-deck. De hoge manakosten van Colossification kunnen het echter minder efficiënt maken in vergelijking met andere kaarten zoals Berserk of Rancor, die vergelijkbare voordelen bieden tegen lagere kosten en zonder het nadeel dat je op het betoverde wezen moet tikken. Over het algemeen wordt Colossification mogelijk niet veel gespeeld in competitieve Magic: The Gathering-decks vanwege de hoge kosten en mogelijke nadelen.
