About Essence Drain

This card, Essence Drain, would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on gaining life and dealing damage over time. However, there are better options like Vraska's Contempt which exiles a target creature and gains you 2 life for the same mana cost. While Essence Drain can be situationally useful, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive play due to the availability of stronger alternatives.
