About Ontdekken
Ontdekken, Tovenarij, designed by Johann Bodin first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 30 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
Een kaartspel dat zich richt op het snel opvoeren van mana, zoals een groen ramp-dek, zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Explore, omdat je hierdoor een extra land kunt spelen en een kaart kunt trekken in dezelfde beurt, wat zowel kaartvoordeel als mana-versnelling oplevert. Hoewel Explore een solide kaart is voor dergelijke kaartspellen, zijn er aantoonbaar betere opties zoals Growth Spiral, waarmee je ook een extra land kunt spelen, maar dan met onmiddellijke snelheid, wat meer flexibiliteit biedt. Explore kan echter nog steeds een waardevolle toevoeging zijn aan decks die op zoek zijn naar een consistente kaarttrekking en mana-ramp.

Explore’s effect allows you to play an additional land during your main phase. Doing so follows the normal timing rules for playing lands. In particular, you don’t get to play a land as Explore resolves; Explore fully resolves first and you draw a card, perhaps a land you’ll play later.

If you somehow manage to cast Explore when it’s not your turn, you’ll draw a card when it resolves, but you won’t be able to play a land that turn.
