While Hungry Flames offers a versatile option for dealing damage to both creatures and players or planeswalkers, there are potentially better options like Lightning Bolt or Searing Blaze that provide more efficient damage output for the same cost. However, Hungry Flames could still see play in certain metas where its flexibility is valued.
