Phalanx-tactieken zouden nuttig zijn in een wit weenie aggro-deck in Magic: the Gathering, omdat het een tijdelijke boost geeft aan meerdere wezens, waardoor de algehele schade en de aanwezigheid op het bord worden vergroot. Hoewel Phalanx Tactics een solide optie is voor een dergelijk kaartspel, zijn er potentieel betere kaarten zoals Brave the Elements, die bescherming en ontwijking biedt voor al je wezens, waardoor het een veelzijdigere en impactvollere keuze wordt. Phalanx Tactics zou spelen echter nog steeds kunnen zien als een budgetvriendelijk alternatief of als aanvulling op andere gevechtstrucs in het deck.
