Een kaartspel dat zich richt op kerkhofrecursie en het opofferen van wezens voor waarde zou baat hebben bij het opnemen van Reanimate, omdat het een krachtige manier biedt om belangrijke wezens tegen lage kosten terug te brengen. Er zijn echter betere opties zoals Animate Dead of Necromancy die vergelijkbare effecten bieden zonder het nadeel van levensverlies, waardoor ze veelzijdiger keuzes worden. Reanimate zou nog steeds spel kunnen zien in agressievere strategieën die prioriteit geven aan snelheid en efficiëntie boven het totale behoud van het leven.
