Remand is een veelzijdige kaart die nuttig kan zijn in controledecks die het spelplan van de tegenstander willen verstoren en tegelijkertijd een kaart willen trekken om het kaartvoordeel te behouden. Het werkt goed in op tempo gebaseerde strategieën door de spreuken van de tegenstander uit te stellen en kaarten te trekken. Er zijn echter aantoonbaar betere opties zoals Mana Leak of Cryptic Command, die meer flexibiliteit en bruikbaarheid bieden. Remand zou moeten spelen in decks die waarde hechten aan tempo en kaartvoordeel, maar de opname ervan kan afhangen van de specifieke strategie en metagame.
