Serra, Vanguard, designed by Matthew D. Wilson first released in May, 1997 in the set Vanguard Series.
This card, Serra, could be beneficial in a defensive or control-oriented deck that focuses on protecting creatures and stalling the game. However, there are likely better options available, such as cards that provide more impactful buffs or additional abilities. Serra may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its limited effectiveness compared to other available options.
