Een deck dat zich richt op gevechtstrucs en instant speedplays zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Snapping Sailback, omdat het dankzij de Flash-mogelijkheid op geschikte momenten kan worden gespeeld. Er zijn echter betere opties voor een wezen met vier druppels in een groen kaartspel, zoals Carnage Tyrant of Questing Beast, die meer impactvolle vaardigheden en onmiddellijke aanwezigheid op het bord bieden. Hoewel Snapping Sailback gespeeld kan worden in een casual of budgetdeck, is het misschien niet de optimale keuze voor competitief spel vanwege de sterkere alternatieven die beschikbaar zijn.
