Task Force zou een waardevolle aanvulling zijn op een op wit gebaseerd controle- of verdedigingsdek in Magic: the Gathering, omdat het een solide verdedigingsoptie biedt tegen gerichte spreuken of vaardigheden. Er zijn echter betere kaarten beschikbaar voor vergelijkbare effecten, zoals Wall of Omens of Wall of Blossoms, die naast verdediging ook kaarttrekking bieden. Hoewel Task Force misschien geen topkeuze is, zou er nog steeds gespeeld kunnen worden in meer casual of budgetdecks op zoek naar een specifieke defensieve optie.
