A deck focused on controlling the board and managing mana efficiently would benefit from including Rite of the Arcane, as it provides a removal option while also potentially ramping up mana for bigger plays. However, there are better options like Ruinous Path or Ruin Runner that offer more flexibility or value for the cost, making Rite of the Arcane less likely to see play in competitive decks unless in a very specific mana-focused strategy.
