Spellgorger Weird would be a great addition to a red aggressive deck that focuses on casting a high number of noncreature spells, such as burn or prowess decks. However, in a competitive environment, cards like Monastery Swiftspear or Soul-Scar Mage might be better choices due to their lower mana cost and immediate impact on the board. While Spellgorger Weird has potential in the right deck, it may not see widespread play in highly optimized decks.
