Thunderfoot Baloth would be a great addition to a Commander deck focused on aggressive creature strategies, especially with a commander that can consistently be on the battlefield. The card's ability to boost its own power and toughness, as well as grant trample and a significant buff to other creatures, can quickly turn the tide of a game in your favor. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Thunderfoot Baloth's cost and impact make it a solid choice for decks looking to overwhelm opponents with big creatures. It definitely deserves consideration for inclusion in decks that can take advantage of its powerful abilities.

If a triggered ability granted by a lieutenant ability triggers, and in response to that trigger you lose control of your commander (causing the lieutenant to lose that ability), that triggered ability will still resolve.

If you gain control of a creature with a lieutenant ability owned by another player, that ability will check to see if you control your commander and will apply if you do. It won’t check whether its owner controls their commander.
