The Illegal Contraption card in Legends of Runeterra would benefit a deck focused on creating a wide board presence and overwhelming the opponent with multiple units. However, there are better cards that offer similar effects for a lower cost, such as Chempunk Shredder or Augmented Experimenter, making Illegal Contraption less optimal for competitive play unless in a very specific deck archetype that can take advantage of its unique abilities.
