A mill deck that focuses on filling the graveyard quickly and efficiently would benefit from using Deranged Assistant, as it provides a consistent source of colorless mana while also fueling the graveyard strategy. However, there are better cards for mana ramp and graveyard filling, such as Hedron Crab or Stitcher's Supplier, which offer more value in terms of milling and card advantage. Deranged Assistant could see play in budget mill decks or as a supplemental card in a graveyard-focused strategy, but may not be a top choice in more competitive decks.
