About Desperate Charge
Desperate Charge, Sorcery, designed by Chen Weidong first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Desperate Charge would be particularly effective in an aggressive or midrange Black deck that focuses on swarming the opponent with creatures, as the temporary boost of +2/+0 can help push through critical damage during a key turn. It could synergize well with decks that feature a high number of low-cost creatures or those that can quickly generate tokens. However, there are arguably better options like Fervent Charge or Inspiring Charge that provide similar benefits with additional effects or more versatility. Overall, while Desperate Charge can see play in specific strategies, it may not be the optimal choice compared to other cards that offer more consistent or impactful boosts.
Rules
10/01/09
Desperate Charge affects only creatures you control at the time it resolves. A creature that enters the battlefield later in the turn won’t get +2/+0.
